I bought a bike. Not unimportant for my journey from Bulgaria to France! After checking out (literally) every bike shop in and around Helden I went for this guy. It is the real Dutch deal, a Batavus, with all the specs of a sturdy trekking bike: anti-leak tires, butterfly handle bars, fortified wheels, easy to remove parts for repair, stable when loaded with luggage.
All I need to do is make it go forward for some 4000 km!
